We are Looking Forward to Meeting You

We started Country Escapades because we believe there's something good that happens when people slow down, get outside, and spend real time with the ones they love. We can't wait to welcome you to the farm and hope this stay gives you exactly the kind of rest and connection you're looking for. The Lodge

About This Space

Leave the noise behind and find the peace of 70 private acres in the heart of Ohio. Whether you're gathering with family, reconnecting with old friends, or just craving some quiet, you'll find room to breathe here. Walk the wooded trails, watch deer from the porch, soak in the hot tub overlooking the pond, gather around the fire in the evenings, and wake up to the sounds of nature.

The Lodge is where hunters come back year after year, but you don't have to be chasing anything but rest to love it here. Comfortable, outdoorsy décor throughout makes it a place to kick your boots off and settle in, no matter the season.

Five bedrooms mean plenty of room for the whole crew:

  • Bedroom #1: King Suite
  • Bedroom #2: King Suite on the main floor with an additional half bath
  • Bedroom #3: King Suite on the lower level
  • Bedroom #4: Queen and Full beds
  • Bedroom #5: Full bed

The lower level also includes an additional full bathroom.

Head up to the full upper deck for meals off the flat-top grill and evenings that stretch on longer than you planned. Down on the walk-out lower level, a private patio opens up to the hot tub and hammock, both overlooking the stocked pond.

You'll have 70 acres to explore right outside your door. Wander the trails, cast a line in the pond, or just find a quiet spot and watch the day go by. This is what the escape is for.

Guest Access

All 70 acres are yours to roam during your stay, along with the deck and patio overlooking the stocked catch and release pond. Two full kitchens, a flat-top grill, and a hot tub round out the space.

Other Things to Note

We've got three outdoor dogs, Pearl, Smidge, and Gibbs, whose job is keeping the farm critter free. Because of that, we can't host other pets during your stay. This ensures things stay calm for the animals on the farm. Thanks for understanding.

The Roost

About This Space

Step into a one of a kind retreat, a renovated turkey brooder barn turned into a cozy home. The Roost blends rustic charm with modern comfort, set against sweeping views of the countryside and pond. With five bedrooms and room for up to 14 guests, it's a place made for gatherings. Wander the trails, gather around the fire circle under the stars, or cast a line in the pond. This is a place to slow down and just relax and explore the outdoors.

The Space

Cozy up by the indoor wood-burning stove or step outside to your private deck and fire pit, where the view stretches out over rolling countryside, farm animals, and whatever wildlife wanders through. Ten beds across five bedrooms and two bathrooms give everyone room to settle in without feeling on top of each other. You'll share in the same 70 acres as the rest of the farm, with trails to explore and a stocked pond to fish, swim, or paddle around. The Roost is built for slowing down, reconnecting with the people you came with, and soaking in a little quiet.

Other Things to Note

We've got free range chickens, two Jack Russell Terriers, and a Great Pyrenees who keep watch over the property. Because of that, we can't host other pets during your stay. Thanks for understanding.

The Hoot

About This Space

Tucked just a quarter mile from the Kokosing River, "the Hoot" gets its name from the Native American word for the river itself, "the river of little owls." Sleeping up to 4 guests and located just 1 mile from the farm, the Hoot is a cozy escape with the best of central Ohio's outdoors right outside the door, close enough for a quiet stay, near enough for a full day of adventure.

The Hoot gives you a peaceful place to unwind while still being just off State Route 62 for easy access. The rooms and backyard are spacious, clean, and comfortable, the kind of place that makes settling in feel easy the moment you arrive.

Step outside and you're within walking distance of the Kokosing River, perfect for fishing, swimming, or kayaking whenever the mood strikes. Hike Honey Run Falls or bike the Kokosing Gap Trail, both just minutes away. Ready to venture a little further? The Bridge of Dreams, Ohio's longest covered bridge, and a full day out at Ariel Foundation Park or Mohican State Park are all a short drive from home.
